Paul was born and raised in the New Orleans area and attended Paul Mitchell schools in both Slidell and Metairie. While in school, he graduated into the Honors Phase 2 Program and also participated in Locks of Love Cut-a-Thons, school produced hair shows and student council programs. He loves styling hair and everything about hair, and his passion lies in “edgy” haircuts, specializing in anything from hair tattoos and basic fades.

With a background in hairstyling but a heart in barbering, short haircuts are sure to be something you’ll love. Where he uses razors to create interesting lines and textures.

Ashley Parrino was born and raised in Louisiana. Her passion for hair took root at an early age as a young high-schooler steeped in punk rock. Enamored by the subculture’s use of bright colors and extreme haircuts, she soon took control of styling her friends’ hair. In 2007, Ashley attended Stage One- The Hair School in Lake Charles, exploring and developing her talent and a passion for hair coloring.

Ashley is a certified Pravana Vivids colorist, specializing in blonding and bold colors. She specializes in balayage, highlights, fantasy color and color corrections. Hair cutting is also a passion of hers, including shags, long layering, bobs, pixie cuts, men’s and women’s clipper cuts and dry texturing cutting. Ashley stays on top of current trends and techniques, constantly furthering her education, whether it’s traveling the country taking classes or getting weekly education online. Alabama Valentine arrived in New Orleans in 2010 by way of Mobile, AL, where for six years, she was an artist and the curator of art and music shows. She studied hair and color design at the Aveda Institute New Orleans, graduating top of her class in 2013. Alabama studied under two Master hair stylists for two years at P​aris Parker before joining the team at Stardust in 2015. Alabama is a Master Stylist, offering a variety of services including all cut, color and extensions. She specializes in organic dry cutting, color melting and curly hair. Alabama loves educating her clients on products and styling routines that help empower her clients to love their hair.

Alise Lavergne is a 2003 graduate of John Jay Beauty School. Early in her career, she was a stylist for the New Orleans VooDoo Dolls dance team.

She is a Wella Portfolio Artist, and she was certified in 2016 as a Wella Master Color Expert. Alise is one of only 300 stylists in the U.S. to hold this certification.

Her work has been featured in Gambit’s “Cue Magazine” and on Raw New Orleans, an independent arts organization website where artists, stylists and designers showcase their work. Her contributions to Raw New Orleans were also featured in Merge, a live artist showcase at Republic New Orleans in Oct. 2015.

CJ Woods studied cosmetology at Paul Mitchell-The School Honolulu, as well as at John Jay Beauty School in Lakeview. She’s been a licensed stylist for more than seven years and is certified by American Crew for male grooming. CJ’s hair and makeup stylings have been featured numerous times in Gambit’s “Cue Magazine,” including in spreads and on the cover.

In 2015 and 2016, she contributed to New Orleans Magazine’s “Steel Magnolia” spreads, and in 2015, she contributed to the magazine’s six-page “Kingpin” spread. CJ was also a featured bridal stylist for the 2016 New Orleans Bridal Expo.

Aly Bally is a stylist from El Paso, Texas. With the help of her mother, also a cosmetologist, she began experimenting with hair color from an early age. She continued to cultivate her passion for hair at Regency Beauty Institute. After completing school, she honed her skills under a master stylist and through in house trainings from renowned stylists. She has since used her artistry to create looks for fashion shows and her own performance group.

With the goal of making the world brighter, one head at a time, Aly naturally moved to the rainbow that is New Orleans. Her prismatic color work is inspired by desert sunsets, wild flowers, precious jewels, and of course unicorns. Since moving to New Orleans, she adopted an interest in fantasy wig making and headdresses.
She has an affinity for up dos and related styling, with an emphasis on retro styles. Aly can also create modern cuts and wearable contemporary color such as ombre, highlights, vibrant reds and rich natural tones, sure to bring out all of the natural beauty that is you.

Alex is a New Orleans native who specializes in the classic barber experience. He attended barber school locally and as been fine tuning his craft ever since. Alex takes pride in serving the lgbtq+ community. His focus is providing an accepting environment in which all individuals are welcome. Chelsea Martin has been a hairstylist for over 10 years, with a primary focus on razor cuts and blonding/color. She offers non-gendered haircuts at different levels and prefers the pronouns she/they.

Her accolades include attending classes from lead stylists in the industry, such as Jane Matthews and Roxy Jane Hunt, and working for NY Fashion Week in 2014. Kelsie Durbin is from Alexandria, LA and moved to New Orleans in 2014 in order to study film, theater and fine arts at the University of New Orleans. With the pursuit of special effects she attended cosmetology school at the Aveda Institute in 2017 and graduated in 2018. This experience made her realize how much she appreciated the salon environment rather than a film set. Once licensed, she started working at a nail salon which ended with the Covid outbreak in 2020. Throughout this time she developed a love of styling updos for weddings. She started her own mobile hairstyling business called Smoking Mirror, which she still runs today. In order to recover from the Covid blow, she worked at Supercuts for a year and a half. There she only grew her love of cutting hair, especially those extra creative ones. She wants to make sure that everyone feels that they’re in a safe and beautiful space but especially those queer alternative kids who want to finally feel like themselves. She keeps up with what’s trending and uses her fine art background to create sculpture out of hair.
